Tidbits About Me
My Family
My husband, Josh, and I have 2 boys. Elijah is 5 and will be going to Kindergarten this fall. Coltyn is 4 and will be attending Preschool two days a week. We live on a farm about 11 miles north of Marshall. Josh raises corn, wheat and soybeans. We enjoy being outdoors. We Bar-B-Que, swim, camp, play disc golf and golf, fish, rollerblade, ride bikes, and explore the farm on an UTV. We enjoy listening to music and watching movies in the winter time. My oldest plays T-Ball and participates in Taekwondo. There's really never a dull moment.
Besides the things mentioned above, my hobbies include reading & research--lots of it, cooking and gardening.
My Education
I have my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education (1-6). This is my 6th year teaching first grade. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy. My projected graduation date is Fall 2009. My completed courses are: Teacher as Professional and Designing Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. I am currently taking Foundations of Reading and Literacy. My next course will be Enhancing Learning Liguistically and Culturally.
